How to Scan Documents with Your Phone Without Installing an App

You do not need a scanner app to turn paper into a PDF. Your phone browser can do it.

Steps

1. Open Scan to PDF on your phone.
2. Tap Take photo and photograph the page. Hold the phone straight above the page.
3. Check the yellow corner handles. Drag them onto the corners of the page if needed, then tap Crop.
4. Pick a filter. Magic Color removes shadows, B&W gives the smallest file.
5. Tap Add page, and repeat for more pages.
6. Choose the page size and quality, then tap Create PDF and download it.

For the best scans

• Use daylight or a bright room, and avoid your own shadow on the page.
• Put the page on a darker surface so the edges are easy to detect.
• If a form portal has a size limit, choose Under 200 KB or Under 100 KB in the quality list.

Add MiniPDF to your home screen from the browser menu to open the scanner like an app next time.
